The Most Beautiful Club in the World
I Keep this List. It’s a List of Reasons. It’s a List of Reasons Why I Want to be the General Manager of a Professional Sports Team. One Reason is My Passion for each Sport I talk about in My Newsletters. What Does Passion Mean? For Example, It Means the History of Football. It Means the Competitive Joy of Playing Basketball in the Park. It Means that Intoxicating Sound of the Football Touching the Boot Over and Over Again. It Means the Challenge of Applying The Mind to the Complexities of Building a Baseball Team.
It’s Also the Pursuit of Glory. Glory often Feels Like an Individual Endeavor. But Once You’ve Tasted It, You Quickly Realize that Glory is a Collective Construct. That it Requires the Individual to do the Absolute Best, but to also throw the Self to the Mercy of Others. To Trust Them to be Great in their Role. That’s What Makes Glory and the Pursuit of Glory So Special.
I Am Not a Liverpool Football Club Fan. I am in Fact a Fan of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. But How Can Any Fan Not Appreciate the Connection between Liverpool Football Club, the Liverpool Player, the Liverpool Fan, the Community of Liverpool, and the History of Liverpool Football Club. And So, even though the Team I love most is the New York Knicks, I paused the Knicks Game to watch Liverpool Celebrate what was an Incredible Triumph of Ownership Management, Coaching, Elite Player Performance, and Organizational Excellence.
Congratulations Liverpool Football Club!!!
